Data Coordinator

The Data Coordinator will be responsible for handling the usage of the current data systems with security and confidentiality. The Data Coordinator has a wide range of responsibilities for the data entry, communication and organization of reports and statistics. This is a fulltime contract position.

Reporting

The Data Coordinator reports to the Operations Director of the Mercury Disability Board.

Key Deliverables

  • Working with software on custom solutions
  • Utilize database programs and run data queries
  • Collaborate with other team members
  • Train, manage, and lead colleagues on systems used at MDB
  • Maintain the integrity of data that contains Personal Health Information
  • Creating statistical reports, proposals and/or visual aids by compiling data from multiple sources for presentation to the MDB Operations Director and MDB Chair as required
  • Reviewing data for accuracy and identifying any gaps in information before sharing results with others
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and other external contacts who can provide data when required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience working with databases, data procedures and data administration
  • Outstanding analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to scan large volumes of data in a short timeframe
  • Up to date with modern databases and technologies such as Sharepoint and M365
  • Critical thinker, team player and good time management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills

Terms

The Contractor will receive remuneration as an independent contractor at a negotiated fee to a maximum of 25 hours per week, as agreed upon by the successful candidate and the Mercury Disability Board. The contract term will be for a 2-year term.
